Facebook as News Media Company
In a recent survey conducted by PewResearch shows that "one in three U.S adults get news on Facebook , though more than three-quarters of them see that news when they are on the site for other reasons."

This research is conducted by Pew Research Center, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation .
Its shows that about half of adult Facebook users, get news from Facebook.
Out of the 5,173 adults, 78% say that they get news from Facebook when they are there for other reasons. About 5% say that Facebook is the most impotent way they get news.
Overall, about half of adult Facebook users, 47%, “ever” get news there. That amounts to 30% of the population.
